Before using the service, please read the preliminary information containing a description of steps that enable access to the CLARIN-PL developer interface.
The Lexical Platform is an open network system that allows searching lexicographic sources. It provides access to lexicographic data on a lexis interesting to the user. The tool automatically collects and organizes data from web components, providing information such as grammatical inflection, collocations, synonyms, polysemy, and translations into other languages.
Depending on the resources available for a given lexis within the Lexical Platform, it is possible to search, among others, semantic networks for the lexis (Słowosieć), synonyms, collocations, translations into other languages (English and Spanish), inflections in appropriate grammatical categories, ways of connecting the lexis with other lexis (valency), or semantic transformations based on dictionaries from the 16th and 17th centuries.
A database developed using the Lexical Platform can serve as a basis for research on lexis, including linguistic research in the field of broadly understood lexicology. It may be used for research on contemporary or historical vocabulary, for example on lexically differentiated vocabulary, vocabulary from different periods in history, vocabulary from specific semantic fields, or neologisms and loanwords.
The service can be run via user interface on the CLARIN-PL website.
